About

Ridley’s Premier Co-ed Youth Adventure Club is part of a scouting program that includes Cub Scout Packs and Scout Troops serving more than 140 boys and girls in grades K–12. The program follows the Scout Oath and Law and includes Cub Packs (K–5), a Girl Troop for ages 11–17, and Boy Troops for ages 11–17.

• Ages: 5–17 years old

The mission of Ridley’s Premier Co-ed Youth Adventure Club is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The program offers three co-ed Cub Packs and three Troops, one for girls and two for boys, in the Ridley area and draws scouts primarily from the Ridley and Interboro School Districts, while welcoming all interested families. Scouting in this program is a family activity fueled by volunteers, and parents are encouraged to get involved and help guide their children.

The program is led by parents who undergo some of the most extensive training of any youth organization, and all activities are supervised by trained adult volunteers. All volunteers undergo background checks by the PA State Police, the Department of Human Services, and the FBI, and must pass regular state and federal background checks. The program emphasizes year-round engagement, and kids can join at any age, with a schedule that can complement youth sports, band, or other school programs.

Seven generations of scouts have participated in Ridley Packs and Troops. Nearly 200 scouts in this program have earned the Eagle rank, which is recognized as a significant youth achievement in America, and Troops 339B and 339G are current John Morton Winter Survival 1st and 2nd place champions. The program states that it lives by the Scout Oath and Law, fostering service, character development, leadership skills, physical fitness, life skills, civic pride, and an appreciation for the outdoors.
