Buhl Park Programs

Buhl Park Programs offers Environmental Education, the Summer Youth Program, Little Explorers, Gardening Classes, Sandy’s Scouts, Boy & Girl Scouts, and Field Trips. Little Explorers is a preschool program for ages 3–6 about seasons, plants, and animals, with outdoor activities, crafts, and more. Sandy’s Scouts is a year-round family-based outdoor learning program with 45 badges, and each monthly event includes an educational lesson followed by a guided activity.

Programs

• Environmental Education — Hands-on environmental education programs and opportunities; many programs center around Sandy’s Place, a Nature Explore certified space.
• Summer Youth Program
• Little Explorers — 3–6 · Preschool program about seasons, plants and animals; includes outdoor activities, crafts and more.
• Gardening Classes — Educational gardening classes for gardeners of all skill levels.
• Sandy’s Scouts — Year-round; monthly event · Family-based outdoor learning program with 45 badges; each month an event includes an educational lesson followed by a guided activity.
• Boy & Girl Scouts — Troop activities on topics including plants and animals, ecological principles, conservation, gardening, composting, orienteering skills, nature and bird walks, night hikes and nature crafts.
• Field Trips — Field trip programs taught in Sandy’s Place and other park locations.
