The Learning Lamp Youth Programs include tutoring, preschool, summer camps, credit recovery, online learning, before and after school programs, child care, math tutoring, free after school programs, and The Children's Book Festival of Johnstown. The program offers high quality, educationally-focused child care and an affordable math tutor, along with free after school programs and public events such as The Children's Book Festival of Johnstown.
The Learning Lamp Youth Programs are part of The Learning Lamp, a nonprofit organization with a mission to engage all children with the support they need to succeed. What started more than 10 years ago as a simple idea to provide children in Johnstown, PA with access to high quality tutoring without the high price tag has grown into a multi-faceted program. The organization serves 28,160 youth and adults from 51 school districts and 69 other schools and organizations in 19 Pennsylvania counties and develops relationships with more than 70 school districts to assess needs and find cost-effective ways to serve students. The Learning Lamp is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) and provider.
The leadership of The Learning Lamp includes Lorraine Nulton, D.Ed, an educational psychologist.
