Hands-On STEM Classes includes interactive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math lessons. In the Ball Run Engineering Challenge, students design, build, test, and improve a track that carries a ball from start to finish using everyday materials.

• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Spring 2026; this is a single, 2-hour workshop
• Price: $12 per student

With guidance from Millersville University engineering majors, students take part in the Ball Run Engineering Challenge and other interactive STEM lessons. The program follows the mission of The Lancaster Science Factory: To inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence by fostering an inclusive environment for hands-on STEM exploration. The Lancaster Science Factory hosts a wide variety of STEM educational programs and workshops and leads STEM educational outreach in the community. It is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for interactive STEM lessons for kids in grades K through 8 and actively seeks to make its facility and educational programs accessible to all. Admission is included for students who are registered for this class, and the organization is open to the public and available for group reservations and rentals.
