Hands-On STEM Classes at The Lancaster Science Factory offer interactive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math lessons where students spend time building, experimenting, and designing. One featured option, The Circuit Lab (with Makey Makey), has students create a circuit using a Makey Makey device, discover and play with different apps using a Makey Makey, and use playdough to make playable computer keys.
• Ages: 4–13 years old
• Schedule: Winter 2025/26; The Circuit Lab (with Makey Makey) is a single, 90-minute workshop
• Price: $12 per student for The Circuit Lab (with Makey Makey) for grades 3–8; admission is included for students who are registered for this class
The program offers hands-on STEM classes in a safe and inclusive environment for interactive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math lessons for kids in grades K through 8. Students grow their confidence in STEM topics while building, experimenting, and designing in a way they can’t in a traditional classroom. Makey Makey is a circuit invention kit that turns everyday objects into computer keys. The facility and educational programs are actively made accessible to all. Lancaster Science Factory Members receive a discount when they sign in. The mission of Hands-On STEM Classes at The Lancaster Science Factory is to inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence by fostering an inclusive environment for hands-on STEM exploration.
