Tioga County Branch YMCA Youth Programs include options such as Summer Camp, School Age Childcare, and Child Watch. The building housing the YMCA is one of only nine facilities listed on the National Register in Tioga County and has served the community since 1938, with additional renovations since 2012 that include creating a wellness center, a new gymnasium floor, and added shower facilities. The Tioga County Branch YMCA opened in late 2010 after planning that began in 2008, and it became a 24-hour facility in January 2021.
The leadership team includes Branch Executive Director Melissa Sentiff, Membership Director Heather Stocum, Wellness Director Stefani Holmes, and a Childcare Program Director. The YMCA states its mission as putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The Tioga County Branch YMCA is described as a community-based nonprofit that serves the community through programs and services focusing on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, supported in its early years by funding from the Borough of Mansfield, Covington Township, Richmond Township, and a DCNR grant for renovations.
