Bucktail Council Scouting Programs at Camp Mountain Run uses a state of the art Facility Rental System for program use. Packs, Troops, Crews, and others can send trading post orders for badges, books, advancements, and other items to the Bucktail Council Trading Post to have orders ready before arrival. National Supply also offers a website at www.ScoutShop.org for units and individuals to order supplies and advancements and have them shipped directly to their house.

The Bucktail Council states that Scouting gives young people the opportunity to explore a world beyond the boundaries of everyday life, try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence, and develop leadership skills, and that these experiences stay with them throughout their adult lives and help them be Prepared. For Life. The council has posted three short orientation videos explaining how to use the Facility Rental System. The Safeguarding Youth Training, developed alongside leading experts in child safety, law enforcement, and child psychology, is required for all registered adult volunteers and focuses on recognizing, responding to, and preventing emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. The council offers an email-based form of contact called MailChimp and allows users to join an email list by clicking on “Join Email List,” and paperwork can be deposited in the mailbox next to the entrance door of the Council Service Center if the Service Center is closed. The leadership team includes Interim Scout Executive Ian Lilien, Sr. District Executive Sheri Price, Camp Director Scott Creighton, Camp Ranger John Drum, Council President Scott Barber, and Council Commissioner James B. Davis.
