Champions Champ Camp Great Outdoors includes activities such as archery, wilderness survival, STEM projects, daily singalongs, opening and closing ceremonies, and camp rallies. Campers take part in field trips to nature preserves, museums, and zoos, and join in activities like building forts, treasure hunts, creating art with natural materials, survival challenges, nature preserve exploration, zip lines, water parks, tie dye, rock climbing, fishing, kayaking, water balloons, outdoor hikes, karaoke, and amusement park rides.

• Price: $25 off per week, per child for select Champions® Champ Camp Great Outdoors locations.
Core camp hours run from 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with no-fee extended hours from 7:30–9:00 a.m. and 4:00–5:30 p.m. The program states that Champions is a safe, healthy place for children to thrive.
Teachers and staff undergo extensive training on health and safety practices, including pandemic-response protocols, and are trained in first aid and CPR. Staff members are trained in child development, early childhood education, or a related field, and the program conducts criminal background checks. Only authorized staff and families may enter sites, all sites include smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, and outdoor play is supervised and only conducted on safe, secure outdoor play spaces available at the school or program location. Each site has an emergency evacuation plan that is tested frequently, with an emergency plan and list of procedures posted in each classroom, and staff are regularly trained on safety measures related to field trips or off-site activities. The program follows strict procedures for administering medication, including requiring a doctor’s note for any medication for children under the age of 2.
The camp is nature-focused and turns kids into confident explorers who develop a love of the natural world. Campers earn beads for kindness, creativity, and respect for nature, and turn them into necklaces. Field trips to nature preserves and outdoor destinations take place every week, with specific trips varying by location. Emotional wellness is part of the curriculum, with daily lessons in community building and character development. Most sites offer breakfast, lunch, and snacks, with menus that satisfy applicable federal and state nutrition guidelines. Families enrolling more than one child receive a multi-child discount of 10% tuition.
