About
Fox Chapel Crew offers on the water training, winter training, and spring racing for student-athletes. The program also runs summer learn-to-row camps for Dorseyville Middle School students and summer sweep/sculling camps for experienced rowers.
• Ages: 12–18 years old
The Fox Chapel Crew was created in the spring of 1995 with a roster of 8 girls and 5 boys, and the team has grown to include over 50 student-athletes. The organization is a 501(c)(3) affiliated with Fox Chapel Area High School. Leadership includes Head Coach Mark Bellinger and a Board with five voting members (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer) plus two rowers chosen as captains by their teammates. Fox Chapel Crew rowers are consistently ranked at the top of their classes and have a record of academic excellence and scholastic leadership. For those who qualify at the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championship, the SRAA Nationals in May is the stated goal.
