Camp Guyasuta offers activities such as field trips, a challenge course, zip-lining, shooting sports, axe throwing, canoeing, biking, swimming, climbing, geocaching, day hikes, and a paddle and pedal boating program. The program also runs events and experiences including an Open COPE Day, a 600' zip line (age 11+), STEM Adventure Day Camps, a pool with spray ground, bonfires, a trading post, concessions, hayrides, a haunted trail, a Hound Hike, and Christmas activities such as a ride through a display, a climbing wall under Christmas lights, pictures with Santa, and a walk to the falls lit with over 2000 luminaries.

Camp Guyasuta dates back to 1918, when it was donated by Mrs. Darlington, the great-granddaughter of General O'Hara. The camp is owned and operated by the Laurel Highlands Council, and annually 65,000 scouts, school groups, and non-profit organizations from the Southwestern Pennsylvania region use the camp. The swimming pool is used by many organizations that cannot afford to take their kids swimming elsewhere, and the pool is open to the public. The stream Guyasuta Run was declared a “clean water stream” by the federal government in the 1980s and is one of two in Allegheny County with this declaration, and its tributaries include waterfalls with rock structures of Ames limestone. Nearby attractions include Pittsburgh Zoo, Carnegie Science Center, PNC Park, Heinz Field, and Carnegie Museums, and there is a bus stop for the Allegheny County Port Authority about 1/4 mile from the camp.
Camp Guyasuta is ACA accredited. The McGinnis Education Center on the property is a full-service conference center with dorm facilities for 150 and was built as an environmentally friendly facility with a silver rating by the Green Building Council, with “Learning from our Building” signage about green construction. The camp includes four other buildings, six program shelters, a campfire arena, a swimming pool with spray ground, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and a 1/2 mile handicap accessible nature trail with signs about history, flora, fauna, animals, and geology. The Rohr Challenge Center focuses on teamwork, conflict resolution, problem solving, leadership, self-esteem building, trust, and learning about each other, and includes a high ropes course with a 50' climbing and rappelling tower; the challenge course and climbing tower are handicap accessible. The property offers an experience of being in the wilderness while only a few miles from downtown Pittsburgh, and the paddle and pedal program has participants kayak from Sharpsburg to either Millvale or PNC Park and then mountain bike back using the riverfront trail. Everyone must check in with someone at the ranger's house or office before proceeding, and if no one is there to check in with, visitors are instructed not to proceed.
