YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh Summer Day Camps include activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, sports, team-building games, and a variety of themed challenges and projects. Campers may take part in an escape room challenge, an Eye Spy Take-Home Mission, launch colorful explosions, tackle The Great Goo Gauntlet, and take home their own environment-friendly plant. Other activities include creating popsicle stick Cars characters, an action-packed game of tag, dress as your favorite character day, a family movie-themed event, a light the path obstacle course, Everyone’s Birthday Celebration, high-flying straw rockets, a vibrant handprint macaw craft, a penguin waddle relay, a nature walk and hunt, a kindness carnival, designing a Terrible Towel, dress like your favorite Pittsburgh or local sports team day, swirling Chalk Galaxy Art, a don’t drop the asteroid challenge, crafting mini torches, and a torch relay.
