LeMoyne Community Center Programs

LeMoyne Community Center Programs include activities such as Homework and More, Camp Challenge, Nutrafit, Girl Scouts, Little Learner Academy, and several Feed Programs. In 2024, the Center added Community Mobile Feed and Lil’ Bitez to its offerings. The programs take place at The LeMoyne Community Center and include educational enrichment, physical activities, creative workshops, homework help, mentorship, and wellness and nutrition-focused activities.

• Price: All the programs are free to youth regardless of income.

The LeMoyne Community Center was established in 1956. Its mission is to develop, shape, define, and stabilize the community with education, arts, health, and recreational programs. The leadership team includes Executive Director Teresa Burroughs, Program Director Patricia Robinson, Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director Megan Recker, Administrative Assistant Cameron Moore, Business Administrator (vacant), Food Services Lead Chef Shiree Gray, Food Services staff Debi Collins, Roosevelt McPhail, and Gaynell Williamson, Maintenance Team members Greg, Cameron Mitchell, Charles, and Robert, Maintenance Supervisor/Transportation James Cohen, and Transportation staff member David Ellis. Washington County school districts provide the Center with grading information each period for every student who attends, and the Center evaluates positive outcomes using participant numbers, this grading information, and its own benchmark testing.
