Buttonwood Nature Center Programs include a variety of activities such as a story trail, Splash Camp II, Learn to Fly Fish, Can You Dig It?, and creating a “fairy house” from nature. The programs take place on specific July dates and times, including weekday and weekend options. Some activities are noted as free, such as the story trail.
• Schedule: Programs are offered on select July dates, including Sunday, July 12 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.; Wednesday, July 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 10 to 11:30 a.m.; Thursday, July 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday, July 20 and 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Wednesday, July 22 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Buttonwood Nature Center Programs are part of an organization whose mission is “Guiding the people of the Cumberland Valley region to become stewards of their natural and cultural worlds.” The programs build on The Institute’s heritage and are connected to a capital campaign called “Ensuring the Future.” The organization invites families to join as members and contribute to a legacy of environmental stewardship and education.
