Settlement Music School offers individual instruction, classes, ensembles, and performance opportunities in music and dance, as well as creative arts therapy. Program options include chamber ensemble program offerings, an Adult Chamber Music program, music therapy, dance/movement therapy, and art therapy.

Settlement Music School is an inclusive, creative community and a member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education with the highest level of accreditation from ACCPAS, and it is dedicated to providing arts education and instruction for all. Faculty are described as highly credentialed and dedicated, bringing years of professional experience to the classroom. Settlement Music School has served as a community hub and trusted resource for music and the creative arts since 1908 and serves the Greater Philadelphia region through six branches. Its unique offerings include accessible arts education in music, dance, and creative arts therapy, a thriving Adult Chamber Music program, Settlement Music Online reaching students in every continental U.S. time zone, the Kaleidoscope arts-integrated preschool, award-winning Kaleidoscope Preschool programs at the Mary Louise Curtis and Benoliel-Germantown branches, and programming for students as young as 6 months and as old as 98 years at the Wynnefield Branch. The organization has been inducted into the Philadelphia Music Alliance’s Walk of Fame on Broad Street’s Avenue of the Arts, recognized as one of the Philadelphia Inquirer’s 2026 Philly Favorites SILVER - Nonprofit Organization, and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Staff will meet with families one-on-one to understand their needs and recommend the class, teacher, or program that is the best match.
