After-School Enrichment and Summer Programs

After-School Enrichment and Summer Programs are part of York Country Day School’s intentional and dynamic curriculum, which incorporates project-based learning aligned with five signature programs: the STEAM program, Service Learning program, Capstone 5812 program, Wellness program, and College Connect program. Through the STEAM program, students engage in integrated learning in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math. The Service Learning program includes hands-on learning that connects students with community engagement and service, and the Capstone 5812 program centers on passion-based culminating projects for students in grades 5, 8, and 12.

• Ages: 3–18 years old

York Country Day School students in these programs have access to state-of-the-art facilities for academics and the arts. The Wellness program focuses on students gaining skills related to their emotional and physical health. The College Connect program offers classes, workshops, and other learning opportunities, and all Upper School students graduate with at least 12 college credits from York College of Pennsylvania. From the youngest early learners through grade 12, the school states that it believes in the power of play to foster social skills, creativity, and a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. At York Country Day School, the stated mission is to prepare students for long-term academic success, lifelong learning, and leadership in a global society.
