Franklin First UMC Children and Youth Programs include a Nursery, Preschool & Parents Day Out, toddler groups, Kindergarten readiness, and programs for children in Preschool through 6th Grade. The program also offers 415 Youth for students in 7th–12th Grades and a Sunday School program for children, youth, and adults. Additional activities connected with the church include Adult Sunday School, book clubs, fitness classes, day trips, dinners, and a Word & Table communion service.

• Schedule: Children and Youth programs are offered on Sunday mornings at 8:30, 10:00, and 11:15 a.m., with Nursery at all three times and Preschool–12th Grade programs at 10:00 a.m.

Franklin First UMC was established in 1799 and is the first church of Franklin, with a history of over 225 years. The church holds three worship services on Sunday mornings at 8:30, 10:00, and 11:15 a.m. at the Main Campus, and a Sunday service at 8:30 a.m. at the Historic Sanctuary. Nursery is available for children newborn through three years of age at all three worship times at the Main Campus, and children of all ages are always welcome in worship services. Children’s worship kits are available in the back of the sanctuary at both campuses.

Franklin First UMC states that it is dedicated to being a relevant place to discover the timeless truths of God and that it is seeking first the Kingdom. It states that Franklin First UMC is the first to say “you matter” and that it is a place that will walk with people through life’s highs and lows. Congregational Care is described as a place to provide care and support and open the door to experience God’s presence and provision. The church states that it focuses on moving toward a healthy connection between finances and faith and that, as people of faith, they give faithfully and generously.

Adult Ministry Plus offers options specifically crafted for adults ages 55 and over. The church offers a bus ministry for adult residents of care communities within a limited radius of the church. The Main Campus is ADA compliant with features such as van-accessible handicapped spaces, automatic access doors, wheelchair-accessible sidewalks, easy-to-reach seating areas, a large handicapped unisex bathroom with an adult-size changing table, classrooms with additional space at doorways, and an elevator for access to the second floor. The Historic Sanctuary was built in 1871 and has a wheelchair ramp on the rear side of the building.
