Harpeth Gymnastics offers Mommy and Me, Toddler Gymnastics, preschool gymnastics, boys and girls recreational gymnastics, tumbling, gymNinja, and KIDtastic adaptive gymnastics. The program also offers boys and girls competitive gymnastics teams, clinics, camps, private lessons, Parents Night Out events, swimming lessons, birthday parties, back handspring and cartwheel clinics, homeschool gym, recreational classes, summer camp, and summer classes. Parent or guardian participation is required for the Mommy and Me Toddler Gymnastics class.
• Ages: 1–18 years old
• Schedule: Morning classes run Monday–Friday through May 22, then pause for summer; summer 9:00 classes begin Monday, June 1, with closures on Memorial Day, and a swimming program offered May–July each year
• Price: A $50 yearly registration fee per student; 20% discount for additional children and/or additional class; trial classes available for the cost of a single class; 1 hour per week is $84 per month
Harpeth Gymnastics was established in 1986 under the name Harpeth School of Gymnastics and has offered recreational and competitive gymnastics in Franklin, TN since 1986. The facility includes an Olympic size spring floor, foam block tumbling floor, foam and matted in-ground safety pits, a floor level trampoline, a 40-foot tumbling trampoline, vault, floor, rings, uneven, parallel and high bars, balance beams, and a pommel horse.
Harpeth Gymnastics states that “Where EVERY Child Is A CHAMPION” and describes gymnastics as “the sport of all sports” and “a great foundation for every child, no matter what sport they decide to pursue.” The program’s mission states that all children have immeasurable worth and value because they are God’s creation and that the goal is to give the same top quality instruction to each student regardless of ability, creating an environment where each child feels valued and where confidence, self-worth, and gymnastics development are gained.
Harpeth Gymnastics was established by Franklin natives Scott and Glenda Webster, whose family describes giving back to their lifelong community as a privilege. Scott Webster graduated from Franklin High School in 1974, received a Masters in Education from Middle Tennessee State University, taught gymnastics, tennis, and swimming as a graduate assistant, then worked as a schoolteacher and coach before teaching gymnastics full time starting in 1983. Glenda Webster also graduated from Franklin High School in 1974 and attended Middle Tennessee State University, studying Business and Early Childhood Education.
The leadership team includes Scott Webster (Owner/Founder), Glenda Webster (Owner/Founder), Josh Webster (Gym Manager | Coach), Mont Whitson (Senior Coach | Boys Team Founder), Dave Pruitt (Event Coordinator), Hannah Pruitt (KIDtastic Founder/Director | Coach), Leah Davison (Preschool Director | Coach), LaTonya Franco (GymStar & Girls Rec Director | Coach), Lucas Mendonca (Boys Team Director | Head Coach), and coaches Katie Widmaier, Nicholas Hensley, Kristen Cruze, Savanna Harris, and Maddie Webster.
