The Goddard School of Northlake offers activities such as Art History, Dance, Music Appreciation, Handwriting, and Yoga & Mindfulness. Children also have access to an Imagination Playground, playgrounds, a basketball court, and sports and fitness activities that include physical fitness. The Goddard School of Northlake opened in 2019 and is independently owned and operated by on-site owners Susie and Kaylin. Both owners have backgrounds in early childhood education and taught at the elementary school level before opening the school. The school uses the Wonder of Learning® education program and offers special enrichment programs as an extension of its play-based curriculum, as well as a summer program that continues the school year with outdoor play and learning adventures.
The school’s stated mission is to focus on the start of each child’s journey, with early education as a foundation for lifelong learners, a nurturing environment, an engaging curriculum, caring teachers, and partnership with families as children begin their academic journey. The Goddard School of Northlake participates in the Texas Rising Star quality rating and improvement system at the 3-star level and is proudly accredited by Texas Rising Star 3. The Goddard School is also nationally accredited by Cognia®.
The facility features antimicrobial treatments, a biometric entry device, an iris scanner, outdoor security cameras, gate alarms, finger guards, parking lot bollards, and a disinfectant sprayer. On-site features also include catering and fresh fruit and vegetable snacks, along with the basketball court, Imagination Playground, and playgrounds.
Parent feedback includes comments that staff and owners are engaged and that communication has been a strong point. Parents from toddler, preschool, and Pre-K classrooms describe teachers and staff as friendly and organized, and several note that they receive regular information about what their children are working on. Multiple testimonials mention positive experiences with activities, learning, and the way front office staff greet families at drop-off and pick-up.
