Since 2006, North Star Academy has been dedicated to providing quality education in the Lantana community and is described as Lantana’s purpose-driven center for learning and nature-based play. The program is part of Fractal Education Group, whose mission states a dedication to early education that promotes social-emotional development, inclusivity, and personalized learning, with an emphasis on creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. North Star Academy is a Texas Rising Star (TRS) Certified facility with TRS accreditation and holds a Nature Explore certification that supports hands-on outdoor activities that enhance sensory experiences and foster a love for nature. The leadership team includes Veronica “Rocky” Freeman as Program Director and Anita Añez as Education Director, and Veronica Freeman has earned her Director Certificate. The program states that it prioritizes social-emotional development, promotes inclusivity, and partners with families and communities, and it is described as offering a safe, faith-based, and stimulating learning environment tailored to each child's needs and interests.
