Branches provide Boys & Girls Clubs After School and Summer programs for youth ages 6 to 18, with a focus on Academic Success, Character & Leadership, Healthy Lifestyles, and Workforce Readiness. Education Room programming is centered around Academic Success, including S.T.E.A.M curriculum and reading, and includes laptops, tablets, and interactive materials provided through a renovation by the Mavs Foundation. The North Fort Worth branch renovation also included a refurbished sports court, a revamped teen space with new STEAM and workforce development areas, and a renovated music studio.
The Mobile Clubhouse Experience was developed during the pandemic to reach youth without access to physical branches and delivers services through mobile units that visit schools, community centers, apartments, churches, and municipalities in Tarrant and Denton counties. In 2023, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County served over 66,000 youth ages 6 to 18 through traditional Clubs, School Sites, and Mobile Clubhouses across Denton and Tarrant County, with support from donors and volunteers. Representatives from MLB, the Rangers Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and the Mavs Foundation have participated in events highlighting renovated spaces at the North Fort Worth branch.
For nearly 100 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County have provided year-round programming for kids. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County’s mission is to enable all youth, especially those who need them most. BGCGTC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and donations are tax-deductible.
