Theatre Arlington A.C.T.S. (Adult & Children’s Theatre School) and Youth Programs are part of a year-round theater school that includes education programs for adults, children, and at-risk youth. The program is connected to Theatre Arlington’s broader work presenting theatrical productions and running outreach programs for at-risk youth.

For 51 years, Theatre Arlington has presented high-quality, award-winning theatrical productions to more than 30,000 patrons each season while operating a year-round theater school and outreach programs for at-risk youth. Theatre Arlington’s mission is to enhance the quality of life in North Texas by presenting superior, diverse artistic experiences through performance, production, and education. The leadership team includes Executive Producer Steven D. Morris, Business Manager Cindy Honeycutt, Education & Outreach Director Janette Robinson, Sales and Marketing Director Hannah Bell, Front of House Manager Gary Williams, Production Manager / Stage Manager Maria Leon Hickox, Assistant Education and Outreach Director Javier Casablanca, Technical Director Bryan Stevenson, and Facilities Manager Colin Wintersole. Instructors and artists associated with Theatre Arlington include Cathy O’Neal, a former Theatre Arlington stage manager who worked as a professional Actors’ Equity stage manager for 22 years at regional theaters across the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex; Ira Steck, an actor, designer, director, and educator who led the theater arts program at Lamar High School for six years and founded Meadows Basement, an award-winning non-profit theater company in Los Angeles; and Denise Lee, an award-winning singer and actress who founded and serves as executive producer of the Denise Lee Onstage Cabaret Series and the Dallas Cabaret Festival, and founded the non-profit Voices for Change equality awareness and activism organization in Dallas. The Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce named Theatre Arlington the Small Business Non-Profit of the Year for 2022, and Arlington Today readers voted Theatre Arlington’s Summer Camp as a Finalist in the 2022 Best Of issue.
