Austin Junior Volleyball offers a range of volleyball activities, including AJV Academy, Girls Academy, Boys Academy, Academy Prep, and training programs. The program also includes AJV Sand Club Training, Summer Sand Club, seasonal camps and clinics, and tournaments such as local tournaments. Austin Junior Volleyball states that few clubs in the United States are involved in as many different areas of the sport. The expectations for the staff and the teams are set on a national scope. The club’s mission statement notes that it strives to continue to be leaders in this growing sport, and that participants become an integral part of this leadership as part of AJV. Austin Junior Volleyball strongly believes in its motto, “Setting a Higher Standard.” The organization also states that it is always looking to hire enthusiastic new coaches who are dedicated, responsible, and eager to work with one of the best clubs in the country.
The leadership team includes Mike Garcia (Senior Director), Ted Wade (Technical Director), and Urissa Stephens (Club Director). Additional leadership roles include Lauren Erler (Assistant Director of Girls Club), Becky Walters (Director of Coaches/Recruiting Coordinator), and Ana Alvarez (Assistant Director of Boys and Programming). The team also includes April Fricke (Assistant Director of Training and Programming), Kathy Lietzke (Finance Director), and Colby Arrington (Associate Director of Recruiting). Outdoor and sand programs are led by staff such as Ashley Ivy Swift (Director of Outdoor), Alyssa Legette (Assistant Director of Sand), and Paige Panter-Mierl (Senior Sand Manager/Recruiting Liason). Boys’ programming and facilities are supported by leaders including Andrii Diachkov (Boys Club Director), Taylan Cook (Boys Recruiting Coordinator), and Jared Ramirez (Senior Facilities Manager).
