About
SafeSplash Swim School offers swim lessons, adult classes, and competitive swim programs. Lessons are available for all ages and abilities, from a baby’s first splash through competitive swimmers. The program follows a clear path to mastering 10 essential swim-safety skills, with weekly lessons that focus on safety, confidence, and progress.
• Ages: 0–18 years old
SafeSplash Swim School centers its approach on life-saving water safety, with the mission statement: “Life-saving water safety is at the heart of everything we do, providing peace of mind and building trust from the very first lesson.” The program features the “10 Lifesaving Skills in 1 Year or Less” structure and the S.A.F.E.R. Swimmer Promise, including a clear path to those 10 essential swim-safety skills and up to 2 months of free lessons if more time is needed. Lessons are tailored to each swimmer’s level, and achievements are celebrated. Small adult classes allow instructors to adjust teaching based on each person, and loved ones can observe behind glass without interfering with class time. There is a large kids section to color and play in while waiting for class, the pool is warm, and the changing rooms are large and equipped with hair dryers, clothes dryers, and bathrooms.
The instructors are described as highly skilled, patient, encouraging, professional, friendly, understanding, and not pushy. Families report that children look forward to their swim lessons, with some noting progress in swimming ability and water safety techniques over a few months. Several parents and adult swimmers mention that nervous or fearful swimmers, including those afraid of water on their face or head, became more confident after a few lessons with gentle, patient instruction. Parents of autistic children report that instructors make accommodations, comfort overstimulated swimmers, and continue to help them learn. Multiple reviews mention clean, well-maintained facilities, welcoming front desk staff, and the ability to watch lessons without distracting the swimmer.
SafeSplash Swim School has partnered with the National Drowning Prevention Alliance (NDPA), an organization focused on preventing drowning through education, advocacy, and innovation. The program notes that there are over 150 SafeSplash locations nationwide, along with sister brands that share the same curriculum and commitment to safety.
