Saplings Studio

Saplings Studio offers art classes where kids work on art projects in a cozy house-turned-art-studio and play indoors with less messy materials. The program also uses a huge backyard as a space where kids can play creatively and make joyful messes in a mess-friendly zone where supplies are provided and cleanup is handled by the studio. Programs at Saplings Studio encourage kids to experiment with a variety of art materials, solve problems, explore things from different angles, be okay with mistakes, work together, inspire and be inspired, be kind to others, express themselves, and trust the process.

• Ages: 1–12 years old

The owner, Jaclyn, has been an early childhood educator for 15 years and leads Saplings Studio. The journey of Saplings Studio started in 2022, and The Art House is opening in September 2025. The studio describes itself as a playful art studio for kids and as the first and only place in its area where families with young kids can create and play with purpose. Saplings Studio states that every child is an artist and that every day is an opportunity to explore, create, and be a little silly, and it celebrates diversity and welcomes children of all abilities. The program notes that it is intentional with every activity it plans, making activities developmentally appropriate and fun, and the owner hopes Saplings Studio can be a place where kids ignite their own passion for making things.
