About
Joshua’s Stage offers enrichment programs that include theater arts, improv, arts and crafts, music, dance, create-a-story activities, and a showcase. Programs are for individuals with disabilities and use The Creative Outlet Method™ to increase a child’s self-confidence.
Joshua’s Stage has been operating since 2016 and reports having served over 5,000 special needs individuals. The Executive Director is Joshua Levy. The organization states that “A+ is for acceptance, accessibility, and attentiveness for all abilities,” and its mission statement says that Joshua’s Stage provides opportunities for children to express themselves in a warm and welcoming environment. Joshua’s Stage has been recognized as being among the most autism-friendly places in Central Texas.
The program describes its offerings as including After-School programs, camps, theater arts and more, and individual enrichment programs. It notes that generous support from the community provides opportunities for families with children with disabilities who face financial hardships to participate in its programs.
Parent feedback includes a summer camp parent who wrote that the program was fun for their child and that they had “nothing but praise,” specifically mentioning Miss Pam and two staff members named Emily. Another parent from the after-school program described the environment as loving and shared that staff reported on their child’s play, communication attempts with other children, and time at daycare, and thanked the program for providing an aftercare option for their child.
