The Texas 4-H Youth Development Program is a youth development program of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. The program includes hands-on learning in agriculture, healthy living, leadership, and STEM. Texas 4-H has programs in every county in the state.
The mission of the Texas 4-H Youth Development Program, through the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, is stated as “Helping Texans Thrive.” Texas 4-H is described as the largest youth development program in Texas, reaching more than 550,000 youth each year. It is also described as the largest youth development program in the state, empowering more than half a million young people each year through hands-on learning in agriculture, healthy living, leadership, and STEM. With programs in every county, Texas 4-H involves youth who give back to their communities and carry forward the values of service and responsibility. The leadership team includes Natalee S. Kovar, Assistant Director of Development.
