Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend offers an Early Learning Center, after-school programs, summer camps, sports leagues, and community events. The program also includes the Justice League: Youth in Action program with civic education, mock trials, and mentorship from legal professionals. Activities have included a Drop Everything and Read event.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The organization’s first Club was established in 1957 at the La Armada Housing projects in Corpus Christi, Texas, and it notes 68 years of changing and saving lives, including the opening of the Greenwood Unit in 1969, which is still operational today. Interim CEO Dr. Ralph Silva and Board President Ben Molina lead the organization.
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Texas Bar Foundation during their Fall 2025 grant cycle. Walmart Greenwood selected Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend for a donation during their special Grand Opening Day. In 2024, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend served over 3,600 youth at 17 locations, including the Greenwood Unit and 16 on-site after-school programs at Flour Bluff ISD, Ingleside ISD, and Corpus Christi ISD. The program states that it fills the gap between school and home for youth ages 5–18, provides safe spaces, educational opportunities, and a fun atmosphere, and offers resources, spaces, and mentors that serve children regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, family status, or background, and that everyone is welcome. It also states that its after-school programs provide unique experiences that expand youths’ learning opportunities and provide a lifeline for working parents, and that it has a world-class Club experience vision that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters their doors.
