Texas Tutor Team offers in-home tutoring and remote tutoring for kindergarten through college. About the provider
Texas Tutor Team is led by Mike and Laura. Their homeschooling adventure began six years ago. Laura has a BBA in Accounting from Baylor University and has been a CPA in Texas for 25 years. Mike has a BA from Arizona State University and an MBA from Washington University in St Louis, MO. Their community involvement includes coaching basketball and football teams, volunteering in sports organizations, Mike officiating football and basketball games, and donating food for Thanksgiving.
Tutoring begins with a skills assessment to identify skill gaps. A consultation is used to match materials, learning style, and address skill gaps. The tutoring plan is aligned with Texas state standards and customized to what the student is currently learning in class. Homework help is available if parents would like. A free SAT practice test is offered.
