Good Shepherd Episcopal School

Good Shepherd Episcopal School offers a program that follows an Episcopal identity grounded in six core values that guide every aspect of the community. The school features programs called Better by Design, a house system that builds camaraderie across levels and opens doors to leadership, and a Classroom of the Earth program through which students travel more than 5,000 miles each year. Students at Good Shepherd explore the natural world, develop independence through guided intellectual exploration, practice empathy and grow spiritually by serving others, and often place out of one or more years of high school Spanish.

Over more than 60 years, Good Shepherd Episcopal School has developed courses and experiences that inspire lifelong learning. The mission of Good Shepherd Episcopal School is to inspire children to learn with confidence, serve with compassion, and lead with courage.

Good Shepherd Episcopal School reports that 100% of its 8th graders were accepted into their top choice of high schools in the 2021–2022 school year, and that students often place out of one or more years of high school Spanish. The school maintains a library with more than 20,000 books and reports that 25% of families receive some kind of tuition assistance. Student-athletes at the school have won 54 conference championships.

Good Shepherd Episcopal School is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) and the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools (SAES). As part of this accreditation, the school engages in reaccreditation every 10 years, including a comprehensive self-study, peer review, and on-site evaluation, and it provides annual progress reports to accrediting bodies between visits. The school is also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), ISAS, and SAES.
