J's Art Studio

J's Art Studio offers art classes for kids, teens, and adults that include acrylic painting, oil painting, watercolor painting, drawing, clay, sculpture, sewing, and charcoal. The program also offers kids art classes, adult art classes, art parties, birthday parties, summer camps, and winter camps. All materials are provided for classes, including items such as paint brushes and paper mache, and each class is tailored to students’ skill level, from beginners to advanced students.

J's Art Studio has been teaching art classes in the North Dallas, Richardson, and Plano area for over 20 years. According to co-owner Kathleen Zierhut, “We’ve been transforming minds and fueling creativity since 1991.” The studio describes its teachers as experienced and nurturing, with small classes that allow for personal attention from instructors, and instructors act as guides and problem solvers while students interpret projects individually. The mission of J’s Art Studio is to enhance the personal development of each student through creative exploration and acquisition of artistic skills, with projects inspired by innovative techniques and the Great Masters, and to foster a love of art and creativity.

Instructors at J’s Art Studio encourage and guide students in using many conventional and alternative mediums, and projects span a wide range of media and materials available on the market today. Every semester, students work with a variety of media including clay, paper-mache, pastels, pencils, and paint, and they are encouraged to think outside the box to create unique works of art. For birthday parties, J’s Art Studio offers a variety of projects that the birthday child can choose from, and the studio provides everything except the cupcakes.
