J's Art Studio

J's Art Studio offers art classes, kids art classes, adult art classes, art parties, summer camps, winter camps, fall workshops for kids and adults, and birthday parties. Classes and projects use a variety of art media, including acrylic, oil and watercolor painting, drawing, clay and sculpture, sewing, charcoal, paper-mache, pastels, pencils, and paint. Each class is tailored to students’ skill level, with beginners to advanced students welcome, and instructors act as guides and problem solvers while students interpret projects individually.

• Ages: 5–18 years old

J's Art Studio offers classes for ages 5 up to teens and adults, with small classes and experienced and nurturing teachers. Projects span many conventional and alternative mediums, including all drawing and painting techniques, many age-appropriate sculpture techniques, and experimental approaches to art. Every semester, students learn skills in a variety of media including clay, paper-mache, pastels, pencils, and paint, and they are encouraged to think outside the box to create unique works of art. For birthday parties, J's Art Studio offers a variety of projects the birthday child can choose from and provides everything for the party except the cupcakes, and for all programs the studio provides everything students need from paint brushes to paper mache. J's Art Studio has been teaching fun and creative art classes in the North Dallas, Richardson, and Plano area for over 20 years and states, “We’ve been transforming minds and fueling creativity since 1991.” The studio’s goal is to enhance the personal development of each student through creative exploration and acquisition of artistic skills, and its mission is to foster a love of art and creativity by helping students develop creativity and imagination through projects inspired by innovative techniques and the Great Masters. Co-owner Kathleen Zierhut is part of the leadership team at J's Art Studio.
