Rio Vista Farm Camps and Riding Lessons

Rio Vista Farm Camps and Riding Lessons offers Summer Camp and a lesson program for girls and boys ages 7 to 16. Summer Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm, and campers are assigned their own horse for the week, share care of the horse with a partner, and take part in daily care, grooming, veterinary care, safety, horse show preparation, games, activities, and horse-themed arts and crafts. The camp ends with a horse show where all campers compete and receive ribbons, along with special awards earned during the week. The lesson program includes group lessons that are 45 minutes to 1 hour and private lessons that are 30 or 45 minutes.

• Lesson Program — Every weekday 4:45 & 5:45; Tuesday & Wednesday 7:00pm; Friday 11:00am; Saturday 9:00am, 10:00am, 11:00am · $150–$400 per month · Group lessons are 45 minutes to 1 hour and cost $400 monthly for once a week group lesson. Private lessons are 30/45 minutes and cost $150. Private lessons can be scheduled Tuesday through Saturday.

Rio Vista Farm Camps and Riding Lessons was established in 1995 and has been in operation since 1995. Its camp horses and ponies are used in the year-round lesson program, and stabling may be arranged for those who own their own horse. Lessons are available for beginner riders, including those who have never ridden, as well as competitive riders, and groups are arranged by age and skill level.
