About

The Children's College Learning Center offers curriculum-driven learning with engaging, age-appropriate curriculum that is designed to stimulate curiosity. The program includes care and learning options for nursery, preschool, and school-age children, and operates as a child care and learning center rather than only a daycare. Facilities are described as secure and maintained to support children’s safety and well-being, with secure entry systems and spaces that encourage exploration.

• Ages: 0–10 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with summer hours from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM

The Children's College Learning Center offers programs for multiple age groups, including Nursery (2 months–24 months), Pre K2 to Pre K4, and school-age children from kindergarten through 5th grade. Teacher-to-child ratios adhere to or do not exceed state guidelines, and the center emphasizes strong parent and teacher relationships with open communication and family involvement. The team is led by founder Yvonne Morales, M.Ed., and Director Yocelin Lara, and the staff includes educators who are CPR and First Aid certified and receive continuous training. The Health and Nutrition Coordinator works with families to manage children’s dietary needs and restrictions, and the team has over 20 years of expertise in early childhood development.

The mission of The Children's College Learning Center is to nurture the potential within each child through a holistic approach to early childhood education, with attention to intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development from the earliest years. The center serves families in Edinburg and the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) community and is described as a community where children thrive and families find support.

Parents describe their experiences with the program in several ways. The Marin family notes that their child is educated, nourished, and loved at the center and that this prepares her for school. The Saenz family highlights the staff, open communication, and safety as important over four years of their son’s growth, and they state that he is building a strong foundation for his future. The Sekula family reports that their child is recognizing letters and words when reading together at home and credits this to the learning their child receives from the staff at The Children's College Learning Center.
