EPMA Art School is connected to the El Paso Museum of Art and is supported by the El Paso Museum of Art Foundation. Admission to the museum is free at all times for visitors connected with the program. The museum will be temporarily closed beginning October 1, 2025, for the second phase of building improvements.

The El Paso Museum of Art Foundation, which supports EPMA Art School, was founded in 1998. The mission of the Foundation is to support the El Paso Museum of Art and its exhibitions, programming, and outreach by raising funds for its permanent endowment. The Foundation is a Texas Non-Profit Corporation and a 501(c)(3) organization under the Internal Revenue Code. Charitable giving to EPMA through the EPMA Foundation is tax-deductible, and contributions are recognized on the EPMA website and in print, with exceptional support also recognized on a donor wall in the main lobby. The Foundation states that it is committed to celebrating the El Paso Museum of Art as the cultural flagship of the community and as a center for local, regional, national, and international art and artists. Leadership connected to the museum includes Edward Hayes, Jr., EPMA Director, and Ben Fyffe, Managing Director, Quality of Life, City of El Paso Museums & Cultural Affairs Department.
