Fab Lab El Paso K-12 STEAM Programs is the K-12 program of the parent organization Tech Frontier, an award-winning tech and education nonprofit organization headquartered in El Paso, Texas. The mission of Fab Lab El Paso is to democratize access to innovation tools, empower underestimated people and communities with digital skills, and promote a resilient labor force within the tech economy. The organization describes the Fab Lab as a resource center for design fabrication, a digital innovation resource, and STEM education support for institutions serving K–12, with a focus on providing underserved communities with resources, technology, and information at a grassroots level. Established in 2013, the program is supported by partners and funders for 2026 and offers K–12 STEAM programs and K–career pathway innovation that connect education directly to workforce development. Programs focus on hands-on digital fabrication experiences using makerspace tools such as FDM and SLA 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC machining, 3D scanning, and VR/AR, and emphasize empowering the Paso del Norte region by bridging K–12 STEM pathways with the future of advanced manufacturing.
