Castle Mound Montessori

Castle Mound Montessori offers year-round programs that include outdoor trips to community places such as the library, botanical garden, factories, hospitals, and science museums. Children can take part in enrichment activities such as music, fine arts, foreign language, nature study, computers, and extra-curricular options including dance (ballet/tap), private piano, private Spanish, basketball, and soccer. The school environment includes an indoor gymnasium, computer lab, music room, library, and covered play areas, along with a piano and music room.

Since 2008, Castle Mound Montessori has provided an authentic Montessori learning environment for children. The curriculum consists of a carefully prepared, fun, and loving environment that encourages all the children to learn individually at their own pace. The school offers several programs for each age group with flexibility in mind, including year-round programs for infants, toddlers, primary (including preschool and kindergarten), and elementary age children, as well as before and after school care. Infant environments at Castle Mound Montessori embody Maria Montessori’s vision of a “Nido” or nest, and primary classrooms are mixed-age from three to six years. The school features newly-built, modern facilities with a security monitoring system and a dynamic learning environment with concrete, manipulative learning materials. Castle Mound Montessori School serves the Flower Mound community and surrounding areas including Argyle, Bartonville, Lantana, Coppell, Lewisville, Highland Village, Trophy Club, Little Elm, Double Oak, and Bridlewood. The program is led by AMS / AMI Certified Teachers.
