Camp Fire First Texas offers a wide range of programs, including overnight summer camp, nature day camp, grief camp, outdoor education field trips, family camping weekends, camp rentals and retreats, and summer and school break day camps. The program also offers licensed afterschool enrichment with a STEAM-based curriculum, teen services through the Teens in Action leadership program, and activities focused on camping, environmental education, and school readiness. Additional offerings include professional development for early educators and special events such as the FAMILY LUNCH & LEARNING EVENT, the CAMP CLASSIC TRAIL RUN 10K, 5K, Kids 1K and Kids 1K Fun Run, ROOTED IN NATURE: A Free Outdoor Family Adventure Day, and El Tesoro de la Vida, a week-long grief camp for children.

Camp Fire First Texas has been an inclusive, innovative leader in youth development since 1914. Woven into every Camp Fire experience is a research-based and measurable framework for thriving. In Camp Fire, children and youth find a safe, fun and inclusive place where they form lasting relationships, develop a sense of belonging and make positive contributions to the lives of their families and their community. Through playful, inclusive, affordable, and powerful out-of-class experiences, Camp Fire connects young people to the outdoors, to others, and to themselves, and its programs enable people to develop essential skills that have long-term benefits and make a positive social impact in the world.
Rooted in Nature is a free, family-friendly event that invites guests of all ages to experience the wonder of nature at Camp Fire Camp El Tesoro. Camp Fire is also involved in the community by partnering with Texas Parks and Wildlife to expand outdoor learning at Camp Fire Camp El Tesoro. The Camp Fire El Tesoro de la Vida Benefit Dinner directly supports a week-long grief camp for children, which provides an accepting, normalizing camp experience where youth share the experience of the death of a loved one.
