Club SciKidz was established in 1997, and the Dallas franchise opened in 2009. Since 1997, more than 100,000 children have attended one or more of Club SciKidz’s science day camps or school programs across the country. The Dallas franchise has been owned by Emily and Garrett Walker since the summer of 2025, and the overall company was founded by Bob and Sue Hagan.

Club SciKidz also offers After School STEM Programs, Science Assemblies, In-School Field Trips, Scouting Badge Workshops, and Home School Sessions. Across all locations, there are over 50 themes that use hands-on projects and experiments for kids ages 4–15, and in Dallas there are over 70 themed camps for grades PK–8th each summer. Science lessons are carefully and rigorously researched by science educators with the help of teachers and children, and the STEM curriculum is described as interactive and focused on hands-on exploration.

Club SciKidz was founded on the principle that parents want to provide their children with exciting, challenging, and life impacting academic enrichment experiences, and it is committed to demonstrating how science works in the real world through hands-on activities in the listed subject areas. Club SciKidz operates franchises in Georgia, Maryland, Kentucky, Virginia, and Texas, and Club SciKidz Dallas seeks to bring its STEAM summer camps to new locations in the Dallas area.

Club SciKidz owners Bob and Sue Hagan have a combined 30 plus years of teaching experience and both hold a Master’s Degree in Education. Emily graduated from the University of North Texas in 2014 with a B.S. in Elementary Education with ESL certification and received her Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Texas A&M Commerce in 2016. Text notifications from the program are limited to general camp notifications or specific notifications about a child from Site Directors and are not marketing texts, and all account changes must be done via email because transfer or cancellation requests are not processed over the phone.

Parent feedback about the program includes comments such as, “I really loved getting to know the teachers and the director. Everyone was incredibly thoughtful and caring,” and, “Fun! Lots of fun and kind, caring staff! My son came home happy and well entertained.” Other comments include, “Our kids went to five different camps last summer and this was our favorite,” and, “My daughter said she had a lot of fun. I was really impressed on our first time with you all.”
