The ranch accepts youth volunteers, offers summer part-time employment for summer clinics, and has year-round instructor, wrangler, and ranch counselor positions. Part-time riding instructors and trainers are experienced in Western disciplines such as cow work, barrel racing, and western riding, and have extensive knowledge of horse care, riding, and safety. The Ranch Riding Instructor is female and must have extensive knowledge of horse care, riding, and safety, and be comfortable teaching riding lessons from beginner through intermediate and advanced students. The program’s approach emphasizes becoming one with the horse, fostering mutual trust and understanding. Arena use for non-boarders is available, and there is a weight limit for horses. Advance JC are invited to a local horse event for sorting.
