Georgetown Palace Theatre Summer Camps

Palace Education is part of the Georgetown Palace Theatre and includes Theatre for Young Audiences field trip performances. During the Spring and Fall semesters, Theatre for Young Audiences offers affordable, age-appropriate field trip opportunities that show students the magic of live theatre. Educators are able to use these shows for classroom extension, with a broad range of interdisciplinary learning opportunities that students will love.

The Georgetown Palace Theatre states that it celebrates the power of storytelling and shared human experience with a commitment to artistic excellence, quality education, and community engagement, and that it seeks to be the cultural destination for everyone. The program is described as proudly bringing the arts to Central Texas. Theatre for Young Audiences is presented in connection with a historic 100-year old venue, and families are invited to support restoration efforts with a customized plaque placed on the back of new theatre seats as a way to leave a legacy. This project is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.
