The Children’s Courtyard of Houston is on an eight-acre property with two unique buildings designed to provide an immersive, engaging curriculum suited to specific age groups. It is the master school for The Children’s Courtyard, with a master teacher in each classroom who is trained to provide a “model classroom” for sister schools. Part-time daycare options are available.

The school has provided children with a nurturing and supportive environment in which to grow, play, and learn for over 20 years. The leadership team includes Director Mia Slack and Assistant Director Crystal Steadman. Teachers at this school have more than 100 years of combined experience, are CPR/First Aid certified, and meet state training hour requirements. Director Mia Slack holds a Child Development Associate (CDA), a Director’s License, and CPR/First Aid certification, and Assistant Director Crystal Steadman holds a CDA, a Director’s License, and CPR and First Aid certification.

The school is accredited with The Association of Early Learning Leaders, Texas Rising Star, and Cognia. The school states a promise to students and families to provide a safe, loving, nurturing, and educational environment, and a promise to teachers to provide support to ensure they are equipped to develop the whole child. The school also serves the Katy and Cypress communities.

Enrolled families describe enjoying their experience at the school and mention that teachers are loving, excited to see the children, and have been there for long lengths of time with low turnover. Families describe the curriculum as excellent or amazing, and several note that their children are excited to attend and sad to leave. Multiple families say they love the staff and teachers, describe them as warm and welcoming with huge hearts, and say they believe staff have their child’s best interest at hand. Families also state that they have been happy with the school overall and would recommend it to others.
