About
Youth Programs at The Health Museum include activities such as organ dissections, veterinary science, simulated surgeries, culinary science, interactive health activities, and real lab experiences. Participants also explore museum exhibits and take part in a variety of programs ranging from dissections and hands-on experiments to creative workshops. The program features live organ dissection demonstrations that include a family-friendly trivia game.

• Schedule: Summer Discovery Camps now through August 14 for ages 5–13; Scouts BSA Earn Scouts Badges now through August for ages 11–17; Live Organ Dissection Demonstrations every Thursday, July 23, 3:00 pm–4:00 pm
The mission of The Health Museum is to foster wonder and curiosity about health, medical science and the human body. With over 2.5 million visitors, it is described as the most interactive and popular science learning center of its kind and a favorite among Houstonians. The museum features interactive, hands-on, and immersive exhibits and offers InnerSections, a communal space that connects arts, health, and humanities through film and dialogue. Its community involvement includes Creativity in Care, a classroom-based Healing Arts program at Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions, where students explore identity, culture, ethics, and caregiving through art and open conversation.
