About
Hunter Dance Center offers dance, aerial, Pilates, ballet, modern, hip hop, tap, jazz, contemporary, yoga, and dance-related fitness classes, along with summer theatre camps and a summer day camp. The program also includes a fully supported Aerial Dance Program, Aerial Series, Drop-In Classes, and Open Classes for teens and adults. Students can participate in creative classes for preschoolers, an engaging Student Program for aspiring young dancers, and a rigorous pre-professional Academy Program preparing for college dance programs.

Hunter Dance Center follows a mission that emphasizes training excellence from the ground up, including dedication, passion, hard work, respect for self, fellow dancers, teachers, and the space, as well as safety, grit, determination, creativity, excitement, and joy. Classes use a progressive syllabus and are taught by certified professionals. The program is under the direction of Annie Arnoult, an award-winning choreographer named in Dance Magazine's "25 to Watch" and a dance education specialist, and Open Dance Project company members teach throughout levels and programs. Hunter Dance Center is home to Open Dance Project, described as Houston's premier contemporary dance theater company, whose season of world-class dance theater performance is developed and rehearsed at the center, and Open Dance Project is recognized as one of Dance Magazine's "25 to Watch."
