About
College for Kids (CFK) is a 3-week summer enrichment program that offers academic courses, arts and crafts courses, science and technology courses, and health and fitness courses. Classes are taught by experienced and motivated faculty who encourage and challenge students in an atmosphere that supports inquiry and exploration. At the end of the program, students receive a certificate awarded by the Lifestyle and Community Learning (LCL) Office.
• Ages: 8–13 years old
• Schedule: 3-week summer sessions with classes held Monday through Thursday in morning and afternoon sessions
• Price: Half-day session (4 classes in either morning or afternoon session): $200. Full-day session (8 classes in both morning and afternoon sessions): $400. Supervised activity period (optional; available for morning and/or afternoon session): $40. Supply fee (required for certain courses): $10. Cost: $40 for morning activity period and/or $40 for afternoon activity period; must be paid at time of registration.
College for Kids (CFK) is one of Tarrant County College's Youth Enrichment Programs designed to help young people reach their full potential. It is a Youth Enrichment Program that allows children in the 3rd through 8th grades to enroll in academic, arts and crafts, science and technology, and health and fitness courses. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Supervised activity periods are available before morning activity sessions and/or after afternoon activity sessions to help accommodate parents' work schedules. Tarrant County College (TCC) is a two-year college accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
For daily logistics, a child registered for a full-day session should bring a snack or food for lunch. A parent or guardian must provide daily transportation, and children may not arrive more than 15 minutes before their first class session and must be picked up promptly at the end of the class day at designated areas. A parent or guardian must sign children into and out of supervised activity periods at drop-off and pick-up and must have a picture ID.
