About
College for Kids (CFK) is a 3-week summer enrichment program that offers academic courses along with arts and crafts courses. The program also includes science and technology courses, as well as health and fitness courses. Courses are taught by experienced and motivated faculty who encourage and challenge students in an atmosphere that supports inquiry and exploration.
• Ages: 8–13 years old
• Schedule: 3-week summer program with classes held Monday through Thursday in morning and afternoon sessions
• Price: Half-day session (4 classes in either morning or afternoon session): $200. Full-day session (8 classes in both morning and afternoon sessions): $400. Supervised activity period (optional; available for morning and/or afternoon session): $40. Supply fee (required for certain courses): $10. Cost: $40 for morning activity period and/or $40 for afternoon activity period; must be paid at time of registration.
College for Kids (CFK) is a Youth Enrichment Program of Tarrant County College (TCC) for children in the 3rd through 8th grades. Eligibility requires incoming 3rd through 8th grade status, an A or B grade average, and a satisfactory conduct grade. As one of TCC's Youth Enrichment Programs, College for Kids (CFK) provides an opportunity for children to enroll in academic, arts and crafts, science and technology, and health and fitness courses. At the end of the program, participants receive a certificate awarded by the Lifestyle and Community Learning (LCL) Office. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Supervised activity periods are available before morning activity sessions and/or after afternoon activity sessions. For full-day sessions, each child should bring a snack or food for lunch. Families must provide daily transportation, and children may not arrive more than 15 minutes before their first class and must be picked up promptly at the end of the class day at designated areas. Parents or guardians must sign children into and out of supervised activity periods at drop-off and pick-up and must have a picture ID with them.
