Irving Police Athletic League (PAL) offers activities that include boxing, fitness, wrestling, soccer, basketball, tennis, Jiu Jitsu, and an Urban Outdoors program. The Urban Outdoors program includes archery, camping, fishing, hunting, kayaking, mountain biking, and rock climbing.

Irving Police Athletic League (PAL) was incorporated in 1992 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization by volunteer police officers and private citizens. The mission of the Irving Police Athletic League is to develop self-esteem, discipline and moral courage in at risk youth through a regimented program of physical fitness and exposure to positive role models in a nonthreatening atmosphere. Irving PAL’s primary programs are boxing, fitness, wrestling, soccer, summer basketball, and the Urban Outdoors program with archery, camping, fishing, hunting, kayaking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. The organization is available to boys and girls ages 8–18.

The program’s leadership includes Program Director and Boxing Head Coach Rosario Solis, who is also an officer with the Irving Police Department and serves as IPAL Coordinator. Fitness Head Coach Don Bolke has volunteered for more than 30 years. The Urban Outdoors Head Coordinator and Archery Coach is Chelsey Jones from Police Media Affairs at the Irving Police Department. The Jiu-Jitsu Head Coordinator and Coach is Michael Cassata, an officer with the Irving Police Department. Urban Outdoors coaches include Irving Police Department officers Michelle Malone, Larry Pacos, and Ariel Esparza; sergeants Dustin Haak, Joseph Palomar, and Laura Craft; Lieutenant Michael Worley; retired Sergeant Bo Owings; and retired officers Chris Bishop and Ken Johnson. Jiu-Jitsu coaches include Sergeant Adam Landry, Sergeant Jody Jones, and Officer Rudi Contreras of the Irving Police Department. Irving Police Athletic League (PAL) was incorporated as a non-profit charitable organization by volunteer police officers and private citizens, and it is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.
