The program uses a Tiered System of Supports called Creating Connected Communities, where all students actively participate in building the foundation for the after-school community by discussing the importance of their community, the rules, and respecting and welcoming each other. Staff clean all surfaces regularly, and students wash hands periodically, including before snack. AlphaBEST Education currently serves approximately 30,000 students in 17 states and is an equal opportunity employer and provider.
Parent and school testimonials describe structured activities that are educational, organized games, cultural immersion with the Mandarin Chinese unit, and engagement in foreign languages, sports, LEGO robotics, and creative arts like newspaper and playwriting. Testimonials from school leaders describe AlphaBEST as providing purposeful and meaningful activities in a secure environment during after school hours, using a 21st-century approach with hands-on curriculum, and offering an expanded learning curriculum to support school improvement goals. A principal who is also an AlphaBEST parent states that she would recommend the program to anyone who asks.
