The program serves youth from Elysian Fields ISD, Longview ISD, Marshall ISD, Pine Tree ISD, and Waskom ISD. It is described as a nationally-recognized program that is a safe and fun place with caring adults during out-of-school times such as after school and summer. Its programs are based on the intellectual, physical, and social needs of youth, and they enhance character and self-esteem, are educational and fun, and contribute to youth fulfilling their potential. The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Pines is to enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The organization’s history includes the Longview, Gregg County Club established in 1995, Longview, Pine Tree Primary established in 2006, Marshall, Carlile Center established in 1993, Elysian Fields Elementary School established in 2007, and Waskom Elementary School established in 2007.
