Bovay Scout Ranch Camping Programs include activities such as a water park, slingshots, a Cub Scout shooting range, and fishing. Program options include Adventure Camp, Fishing Derby, Family Camping, and Webelos & Arrow of Light Quest. Adventure Camp is a weekend campout where Cub Scouts and families take part in program activities and eat meals in an air-conditioned dining hall.

Bovay Scout Ranch was founded in 2001 and is named after its founders, Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. Bovay Jr. The camping properties cover 1,498 acres with rolling hills and lakes, and campsites are surrounded by native Huisache and Bois-d'arc trees. Restrooms and showers are available, and sunsets at the property are described as absolutely breathtaking. Fishing Derby is an opportunity for Cub Scouts to catch fish and is open to both seasoned anglers and Scouts who have never cast a line. Family Camping is available to packs and Webelos dens, who plan their own activities and cook their own food. Webelos & Arrow of Light Quest is a campout for 4th- and 5th-graders to earn advancement, learn Scout skills, and be introduced to outdoor adventures of Scouts BSA. The Sam Houston Area Council serves approximately 25,000 youth in 16 counties in Southeast Texas through the service and leadership of about 10,000 adult volunteers.
