Camp Allen Summer Camp takes place at Camp Allen, a year-round facility that includes a hotel and conference center, dormitory campsites, family lodges, lakeside log cabins, two lakes, and miles of trails. The camp operates within a setting that also hosts an outdoor education program for students, a founding summer camp program, and facilities used for spiritual, leadership, recreational, and corporate retreats of all ages, along with sponsored programs that are open to the public. Families attending Camp Allen Summer Camp are part of a larger community that also includes guests from medical institutions, nonprofits, schools and universities, churches, and outdoor education groups.

Camp Allen Summer Camp is part of Camp Allen, which was established in 1921 by the Episcopal Diocese of Texas and has a history spanning over 150 miles of relocation and 105 years. Camp Allen is a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas and serves annually 61,179 total guests across 838 events, including 12 medical institutions, 57 nonprofits, 132 schools and universities, 259 churches, 8,014 outdoor education students and faculty, and 2,025 summer campers. The mission of Camp Allen is to honor God and enrich lives by being a year-round gathering place for all ages, offering Christian hospitality amidst 1,100 forested acres, and striving for excellence in facilities, service, and programs. The organization’s leadership includes President Allen Kight; Marketing & Development Director Lauren Day; Executive Chef & Kitchen Director Mark Diorio; Facilities Director Kelly Duckworth; Conference Center Director Josh Fultz; Summer Camp Director Drew Day; Business Manager Teri Hurst; Director of Programs Lauren Gervais; and a board and spiritual leadership team that includes The Rt. Rev. Andrew Doyle as Chairman, Eric Moen as Executive Chair, The Rev. Lacy Largent as Spiritual Director, and numerous additional members listed in its leadership roster.
