The City of Portland Parks and Recreation Department offers the Summer Kidz Kamp program, co-sponsored by Gregory-Portland ISD, and lunch is provided by the GPISD Summer Food Program. The program is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. All instructors are certified in CPR/First Aid. The program is offered to children 5–12 years of age who will be entering Kindergarten through 6th grade for the 2024–2025 school year, and the children are grouped by ages with limited class sizes. Transportation can be provided from swim lessons when a parent notifies staff of enrollment to arrange pick up. There is a maximum registration for the summer, and once Kidz Kamp is full, registration will be closed, with no in-person registration and no weekly or daily option, since each child must register for the full summer program. Any autopayments that are declined must be paid before a child can return to the program. The Teen Bubble Soccer Tournament uses a single-elimination format with five-man teams, matches of two 10-minute halves with a 2-minute halftime, and a tiebreaker of one 3-minute sudden-death overtime followed by a coin flip if still tied. During teen activities at In The G Funtrackers, teens can play miniature golf, drive go carts, and play video games, and a concession is available on site with items such as pizza, fries, and ice cream.
