About
TBT School offers dance classes that include ballet. The program includes options for students at different levels of experience in dance and ballet.
Texas Ballet Theater, which operates TBT School, was founded in 1961 and has grown from a small regional ballet company to an internationally recognized organization. The mission of Texas Ballet Theater is to create, present and tour professional ballet, from classical to cutting-edge, and to promote its appreciation, accessibility, and technical mastery among students, pre-professionals, and audiences of all ages. Texas Ballet Theater is the only arts organization that serves as the resident company for both Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth and the Winspear Opera House on the AT&T Performing Arts Center Campus in Dallas. Texas Ballet Theater continues to bring classical ballets to the community, commission new works, and work with the next generation of dancers. Leadership for Texas Ballet Theater includes Tim O’Keefe as Artistic Director, Ben Stevenson, O.B.E., as Artistic Director Laureate, and Vanessa Logan as Executive Director. One parent-facing statement from Ben Stevenson notes that patron support helps the company present classic and cutting-edge works on stage and inspire future audiences, and a statement from Vanessa Logan notes that partners, donors, and friends support the future of Texas Ballet Theater and its ballet work in the community.
