Children's Lighthouse Rockwall offers a before and after school program for school-age children. Children's Lighthouse leads the way in values-based early childhood education for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children, and it launched as one of the first early learning schools to focus on promoting character and values as a cornerstone of early education. Each Children's Lighthouse school, including Rockwall, is independently owned and operated, and all schools are overseen by the Children's Lighthouse Franchise Company system, which is accredited by Cognia; individual schools may also have their own Cognia or other accreditation.

The Children's Lighthouse Franchise Company was founded more than twenty-five years ago, and brothers Mike and Pat Brown opened the first Children's Lighthouse school in 1997. The Director of Education and Training, Dr. Kristi Smith, focuses on partnering with families to provide educational materials that lay the groundwork for lifelong academic success. The program states that its mission is to create a safe, fun, and happy place that gives each child confidence, a sense of comfort today, and a lifelong love of learning, friendship, and community.

Parents have shared that they value the educational program, the staff, and the environment at Children's Lighthouse. One parent from Dallas, Texas, reports that the curriculum encourages exploration, good communication skills, and fun-filled learning activities starting in infancy. Another parent from Los Angeles, California, notes that the facility and staff stood out compared with other centers they visited. A parent with 10 years of professional nanny experience from Dallas, Texas, states that the school surpassed expectations and that teachers work patiently with each child. A parent from Houston, Texas, shares that their children enjoy attending, look forward to going to school, and like their teachers, food, games, and learning times.
